If you are choosing between an Xbox 360 or a PS3 I would choose the PS3. I personally own a Xbox 360 and it is very fun and I have no problems at all but over time ...

Pros: Scratch resistant finish, nice bright LED screen, very light compared to my previous laptop. There is a cover for some of the ports on the right side. Linux installed out of the box recognizing everything and installing the correct drivers (see other cons). Asus partitioned the hard drive so that one could easily add a second OS. :)

Cons: Runs hot especially when you play games. Used the realtek ALC 259 audio chip-set; it takes a few extra steps to get it to play well in linux. The sound worked out of the box; in order to get headphones and mic to work you had to add "snd-hda-intel model=auto position_fix=0" to the dist-alsa.conf file.....
